Makin' Maple is a Dickie family tradition. My children are the 5th generation of Dickies to make maple syrup in Minnesota, in the same woods my great Grandpa Walter used to make maple in the 1920's. As Grandma Gladys always said, "When the sap runs, the saps run."

Enjoying eating the syrup
One pint of fresh maple syrup, almost gone after feeding the crew.
We always make a point of eating fresh maple syrup on Grandpa's pancakes as soon as possible after taking off our first batch each spring.
Thanks for taking the time to post this! So happy for you family to have a great tradition like. The story is great!
